Your “Sacred Portion”

The Sacred Portion Children’s Outreach extends an invitation to become involved and to give your “sacred portion”. You may choose to do so in a variety of ways such as sponsoring a child, donating time or talents, or by simply praying for children. Whatever the level or means of giving, all that is given toward children without families is considered sacred and holds a place of honor before God.

The Sacred Portion Children’s Outreach is dependent upon donations and grants in order to carry out its mission of creating better environments and brighter futures for children without families. We also rely on one or more annual fundraising events to meet our budgetary goals. You are welcome to assist this ministry by attending and participating in such events.

Please use one of the following categories with your donation, or any other specific need for which you would like to give:

"And you...shall rejoice in all the good which the Lord your God has given you and your household. And you...shall say before the Lord you God, I have removed the sacred portion from my house, and have given it to... the orphan according to all thy commandments which thou hast commanded me... Donors contributing in USD are tax-deductible and will receive a tax receipt at the end of each year. For donations in stock or in other currencies, please contact us.

Volunteer

Volunteer with The Sacred Portion

Opportunities for volunteering include the following areas:

  • Periodic ministry fundraisers
  • Adoptive/foster support meetings
  • Summer & winter hosting programs
  • Work trips to the Philippines
  • The SPCO Board of Directors
  • Occasional other events or projects

Some of these events take place periodically or annually—most of them locally in southwest Montana. We invite you to contact us if you are interested in learning about a specific area.

We are grateful to the many individuals, families, and organizations who have sponsored, collaborated, and worked alongside us over the past decades. We are excited to keep making connections in our Montana community, nationally, and internationally!

Mission Service

In addition to developing a sense of communal responsibility when people serve, there can be a profound change on a personal level. Being lifted away from one’s comfort zone and dropped into the pace of a different environment or unfamiliar culture creates a vulnerability in which God often orchestrates amazing things. People who serve have experienced opportunities for spiritual renewal, reflection, and deep friendships which they otherwise might not have enjoyed.

Work teams have been gathered and have traveled to Rehoboth Children’s Home in the Philippines since the year 2000. The people who have served this way usually realize the satisfaction of having given a relational “hand up” instead of simply a monetary “hand-out”. They discover the Christian unity that spans continents. In addition to learning a sense of international responsibility, people serving often become more sensitive to affection, prayer, and God’s calling on their hearts.

Experience Giving Hope Auction

The Sacred Portion Children’s Outreach hosts an annual fundraiser and dinner called Experience Giving Hope, in our home state of Montana. This special event supports our agency’s mission—working both internationally and domestically to bring children and families together.

We welcome volunteers to help with the coordination and setup of the event—the more, the better! If you’re interested in getting involved, please reach out to admin@sacredportion.org.

Become a Hope Connector

As many of you know, engaging in ministry is hard and you so often deal with the schemes of the enemy, which is why we want to invite you to cover each chapter that is being written through our agency in prayer. We welcome you to join our “Hope Connectors” group. This is a brand new partnership that we are starting with people who want to commit to praying over the many stories and chapters that we see at our agency.
