The Sacred Portion was founded by Craig and Jan Druckenmiller in 1998 in response to a call on their hearts to work on
behalf of children without homes and families. As a child caring ministry, we seek to create healthy, secure environments
in which children living in institutions can grow and develop as normally as possible. In addition to providing the
basic necessities of food, clothing, shelter and medical care, our aim is to see that children also have the opportunity to
receive an education to prepare them for the future. When possible, we seek to reunite children with their birth families
or to find loving, permanent homes through adoption. Above all, our desire is to give these children hope through hearing
about and coming to know the personal, loving God who cares for them.
The Sacred Portion Children's Outreach is an invitation and opportunity for
others to become involved and to give their "sacred portion" out of love and obedience. They may choose to do so in a variety
of ways by sponsoring a child, donating time , talent or money to a specific project or need or by simply praying for the
children. For some to whom God has given a heart for adoption, it may be embracing a child into their own family. Whatever
the level or means of giving, all that is given for children without families is considered sacred and holds a place of honor
before the Lord.
